Lawn Care
Fertilization, weed control, aeration, and overseeding programs for Northeast Indiana
Lawn Fertilization
A well-fed lawn does more than look good — it resists drought, fights off disease, and crowds out weeds on its own. Our fertilization programs use products specifically formulated for the soil and grass types across our service area.
A healthy lawn provides benefits well beyond curb appeal. Thick, dense turf helps prevent soil erosion, filters rainwater, and even helps cool the air around your home during the summer months. A consistent fertilization program is the foundation that makes all of this possible.
We source fertilizers formulated for the clay-heavy soils and cool-season grasses common across Northeast Indiana. The products and timing we use are informed by Purdue University turf research and adjusted based on what we see in the field season to season.
Weed Control
Crabgrass, dandelions, clover, wild violet — whatever's taken hold in your yard, our weed control program is built to knock it back and keep it from coming back. We build a schedule of pre-emergent and post-emergent applications around your specific weed pressure.
If you've been burned by a lawn company before, we understand the hesitation. Our approach is simple: we tell you what we're going to do, we do it on schedule, and if something isn't working, we adjust. We don't lock you into programs that aren't delivering.
The Science Behind Our Approach
Our application programs are built on research out of the Purdue University Turf Research department. We regularly update our product mix and application timing based on what Purdue is finding works best for Indiana growing conditions.
We're also careful around your existing landscape. Our applicators are trained to protect your flower beds, shrubs, and ornamentals during every visit — targeted application, not blanket spraying.
Core Aeration
Core aeration is one of the most effective things you can do for your lawn, and it's the service homeowners most often skip. If your soil is compacted — and after an Indiana winter, it probably is — your grass roots can't access the water, air, and nutrients they need to thicken up.
We get asked "should we aerate?" all the time, and the answer is almost always yes. Compaction doesn't show up the way weeds do — you won't see it, but your grass feels it. Aeration pulls small plugs of soil to open up channels for air, water, and fertilizer to reach the root zone. The result is a thicker, healthier lawn that holds up better through summer heat and foot traffic.
Not sure if your lawn needs aeration? Give us a call and we'll talk it through. Fall is the best window in our area — the cooler soil temperatures allow for deeper penetration, and pairing aeration with overseeding gives you the best shot at filling in thin spots before winter.
Lawn Overseeding
Overseeding introduces newer, more heat-tolerant grass varieties into your existing lawn, which helps thicken turf and reduce weed pressure over time. We select seed blends based on your soil conditions and current grass type — not a one-size-fits-all bag from the hardware store.
For best results, we pair overseeding with core aeration. The aeration plugs create direct soil-to-seed contact, which dramatically improves germination rates compared to broadcasting seed over a hard surface.
Lawn Mowing
We don't mow lawns — we focus entirely on treatment. But if you need a mowing provider, we work with a few trusted local companies and are happy to connect you. Just ask when you call.
Our Re-Treatment Guarantee
If you're not satisfied with any application, we'll come back and re-treat at no additional cost. No hoops, no hassle. We stand behind our work because your lawn's results are our reputation.
