Lawn Insect & Disease Services

Identification, treatment, and prevention for the problems that threaten Indiana lawns

Lawn Disease Control

Lawn disease doesn't always look like what you'd expect. Sometimes it's a brown patch after a humid stretch. Sometimes it's a rust-colored dust on your shoes after mowing.

Common lawn diseases in our area include snow mold, dollar spot, brown patch, red thread, and rust. Each one thrives under specific conditions — humidity levels, temperature ranges, mowing height, and soil moisture all play a role. That's why a one-size-fits-all approach doesn't work for disease management.

Because we've been treating lawns in Northeast Indiana since 2005, we know how local conditions — late spring freezes, humid summers, heavy clay soil — affect disease pressure from season to season.

Give us a call — we'll talk through what's going on with your lawn and recommend a treatment plan.

Grub Control

Grubs — the C-shaped larvae of Japanese beetles and other scarab beetles — feed on grass roots just below the surface. By the time you notice the damage (brown patches that peel up like carpet), they've already done serious work. In Indiana, grub damage typically shows up in late summer and early fall.

The key to grub control is timing. A preventive application in early summer stops grubs before they grow large enough to cause visible damage. If you're seeing spongy turf, increased animal digging, or brown patches that don't respond to watering, give us a call — we can confirm whether grubs are the problem and get a treatment down quickly.
